On the day following "October 27", i.e. on October 28 1999, "Aravot" Daily
newspaper had published segments from the audio recordings of the events
during the first hour of the Terrorist Act, recorded by its journalist Anna
Israyelian inside the Armenian parliament hall. Anna Israyelian had been
the
only journalist from within the journalists present to the Armenian
parliament session, who had not panicked and had recorded the events during
the first hour of the horrible Terror, even while lying on the floor
following the 5 dashnak ‘boy-scout’ terrorists' command.
Lately, independent journalist Vahagn Ghoukassian had handed over Anna
Israyelian's recording on "October 27" 1999 to the expert specialists, who
had succeeded in filtering out the sound interferences from the recording.
In the result of the experts' work, some expressions of the terrorists,
which were till then unclear, have become audible. We consider it necessary
to publish the entire recording, in order to restore in the minds of the
Armenians the picture of the events during the first hour of anti-Armenian
Terror, aiming each and every one of us. Of course, again, because of the
sound interference, considerable parts of the recording still remain not
audible, however after further filtering out of the sound interference in
those segments too, it will finally become possible to attain the whole
picture of the events of the Terrorist Act on October 27 1999, starting
from
17:15 to 18:15 PM in the hall of Parliament. It is important here to note
that according to the insistences of some of the Armenian Parliament
deputies, Chief dashnak Terrorist nayiri hunanyan had given the main terror
organizer's name during the first hour of the Terrorist Act.
In any case, we are presenting to your attention the audible segments of
journalist Anna Israyelian's audio-cassette recording, covering the
Terrorist Attack starting from 17:15 until 18:15 PM of October 27 1999 in
the National Assembly of Armenia.
